Samantha Folts
Gym Director and Instructor



Samantha is originally from western NY. She competed through level 8 in high school.  She then began coaching gymnastics and attending college full time.  She has an Associate Degree in Science (physical education major).  After college, Samantha moved to San Diego in 2001.  She has coached various levels of gymnastics (through level 8) and managed multiple gyms/programs.  She is USAG Safety Certified, KAT Certified, Meet Director Certified, and CPR/First Aid Certified.  Last year Samantha successfully completed a Sprint Triathlon! (success meaning she didn't stop and didn't puke!). Besides her career, Samantha also enjoys the beach, playing sports, riding bikes, working out, hiking, live music, decorating, cleaning, crafting. She likes everything but brussel sprouts.
She hopes to eventually own her own gym :)






Travis Ewart
Team Coach and Instructor



Travis Ewart was born and raised in Redding, California .  He has coached for 10 years, the majority of which was competitive gymnastics in Anderson, California, at Athletics Unlimited Gymnastics Center.   Travis has been involved in gymnastics since the age of 4 and participated in the sport off and on till the age of 15.  He gained the majority of his knowledge from regional clinics, some of the top coaches in the United States, and also from his own experience as a gymnast.  Travis competed to Class 3, which is now the equivalent to level 8.  In his spare time, Travis enjoys hanging out with friends, guitar, construction, movies, music, jogging, riding bikes, camping, driving anything with a motor, most outside activities, and a good conversation with anybody.  He moved to San Diego in November of 2007 and plans on staying for a long time.





Maya Howard
Special Events Instructor



Maya grew up in San Jose and was a gymnast for 8 years.  She competed through level 9 and her favorite event was bars.  After gymnastics she became involved in cheerleading and coached her own team in high school. Later she joined the United Spirit Association where she taught cheer camps, helped run competitions and judged try outs. She graduated from San Diego State in 2007 and likes to hang out with friends, shop and go to the beach.






Alex Fuller
Special Events Instructor



Alex Fuller grew up doing gymnastics competitively in Indiana, St. Louis, and California. She competed at level 10 when she was 14 and continued for the next 2 years.  She stopped gymnastics to play soccer at PLNU on scholarship. She is currently a sophomore at PLNU and a Business Administration major. She is also the oldest of 6 kids. She loves just hanging out with her friends and going to the beach of course!
